Who Runs The World?

We learned this back in Jurassic Park:

God creates dinosaur.
God destroys dinosaur.
God creates man.
Man destroys God.
Man creates dinosaur.

~Ian Malcom

Dinosaur eats man.
Women inherits the Earth.

A lot of us have had trouble in our past. Don't let your past be your picture frame. Our past shouldn't define us, it should inspire us.

I just read a story about Rebecca Black being bullied because of her stupid song Friday. Her mother apparently had to pull her out of school. How sad is that. Yeah her song had some stupid lyrics and the video was equally suckish but that is no reason to bully her out of school. I live in a state where a couple of kids were bullied so severely that they committed suicide. It would be nice if the people who bullied her got some sort of punishment because this has become serious business. It seems like people just don't understand the results of their actions anymore until they are brought before the law or have gotten some sort of punishment.

On the other hand, this is probably good for Rebecca Black cause she seems to be laughing all the way to the bank. She must have pretty thick skin. But we knew that cause it must take thick skin to make a cheesy song like she did and put it out on Youtube.

Laughter

We're a pill nation. We'll take a pill for anything and everything. You could go to the doctor with a made up illness and come out with a prescription.

What about laughter?

I just love it! Laughter IS the best medicine! I wish I could process it and put it in pill form.

Of course some people are saying it causes wrinkles, the dreaded parenthesis.

(Well it's worth a few wrinkles.) Parenthesis intended.

"Get up! Get up!"

"Time to go!"

Slowly, my feet feel the floor

Unsteady, I grab for the wheelchair

Straightening out my gown

"Watch your feet!"

Whisked down the corridor

Past smiles and waves

To the light at the end

"We have to scrub our hands again?"

Wheel me in, past the twins.

What was that?

Oh another alarm going off!

Almost there

Last one on the right

Hello precious one

Red, green, white... little tiny wires

I can hear your heartbeat

But I can't hold you

Perseverance.

I wrote this poem years ago about my precious one who lived and died one hot day in August 1996. She lived 22 days and this was my daily routine from my room in the maternity section to the neo-natal intensive care at the hospital for the first week after her birth. For those who have went through this experience, you know the sadness felt when you are only able to view your baby through a see-through container and not able to experience the joy of holding, cuddling and making that special bond you expect after giving birth. Even though we were never able to bring this one home, we were blessed with three bundles of joy over the years, one of them after this experience.

Only God knows why certain people go through certain experiences. Is it to prepare us and make us stronger for other bumps in the road of life? Most likely, but perseverance is up to you.

So whatever circumstances that may come your way, whether it be small or large, I hope you persevere.

According to Plan

No matter
how much man tries
to control things,
including
the end of the world,
everything happens
according to the plan

Find out what makes you tick.
Look inside or within.
What is it?
Blind confidence?
Perseverance?
Or is it just your heart
beating
the beat
of consciousness

Sometimes the answer to the simplest question is the simpliest answer.

I couldn't help myself. I got up looking at the Royal Wedding stuff on tv. It was so fairytale-ish; I love that kind of stuff, lol. When my son was around three years old, I use to call him Prince James. I even wrote a children's poem based on our banter.

So while my son & I were watching the Royal Wedding this morning before school, I called him Prince James. I told him he was a prince and this (waving my hand around the room) "is your kingdom." He asked me "where is my throne?" I pointed to the toilet and said, "there it is." He said, "This is a crappy kingdom." LOL

For me,
love is an illusion

A fleeting ship on the horizon

I'm in a
small raft in the middle of
a black sea

Sharks are all around me
I mistake one of them
for love

He bites me
but he was only tasting

My wound is deep

S.O.S.
"Save One's Self"

My vessel is filling up
with my own blood

I am dying

Love's dispatch
may not make it in time

Meanwhile,
my gaze becomes fixed upon
the horizon

How beautiful is the sun's
reflection
on its dark companion

Pink Nail Polish

I'm so sick of the J.Crew pink nail polish ad. I don't even like pink nail polish! lol. I threw in the Princess Boy mother cause I'm sick of her too. She was on the today show promoting the pink nail polish ad. wtf! I know she is trying to promote her book & her ideology but come on! I'm fed up. I think all of us who have kids has had our kids play dress up but we're not plastering the picture all over the internet & writing a book about it. It's like naming your son Betty: he's gonna pay for it later with his peers. Why make it harder on our kids than it already is!

Anyway, I wrote a comment on the Today show site, TODAYMoms:

"The ad doesn't bother us; it's the media coverage of the ad that does. We don't know what Jenna is thinking of or if her kid likes to wear pink polish. It's an ad. Maybe it's just that: an ad. BUT why put that statement in an ad unless u want to cause controversy? In that case, I'm sick of people trying to push their idologies on us, the public, & then complaining when we don't side with them. This includes the Princess Boy mother. Kids have enuf problems in this world. Think about what you're doing to your kid. Did your kid ask to be the subject of your ideology? You could be inviting bullying that never would of occured because you put pink nail polish on his toes and plastered his picture on the internet & a million-and-one newspapers. Or wrote a book about him wearing a dress as a child."

Is There Something You Want To Tell Me?

I saw the sadness in your eyes
Is this the part where the hero dies?

I miss you

Is there something that you want to tell me?
What is the other part of the story?

I love you

Tell me the lessons to be learned
Is there any one stone left unturned?
Our love runs deep; I knew from the start
But now we must live our lives far apart

How can you find your true love after he's gone?
It's not fair, tell me am I wrong?

I love you

There is something to tell me? Fine!
You will tell me in due time
There is something I want to say
I miss you... every day

There will be a BIG moon in the sky tonight.

Extreme Super Moon To Cause Chaos

I can do without the chaos but I am hoping the moon will inspire me to write something beautiful tonight.

In the past, I've writen a few poems mentioning the moon in it. I share with you one of my favorites entitled Tomorrow

Tomorrow
I

Venus aligned with Jupiter
The condition of the dark night
A mixture of labdanum and myrrh
Consumes the lark hike
Our planet, grandiose and insisting
Sits on time's couch and grins
loneliness not worth resisting
If such a thing happens
An amazing occurrence now
once in lifetime soon
The calf shown on the cow
As it jumped over the moon

II

I have been on this planet for a long long time
something about a June moon is so lovely to fondle
this destination can be wonderful and kind
I am wicked and wild, but still fragile
Sex on this planet is an expression jubilee
it is a period at the end of an exotic sentence
the journey is long and lonely
transgressions of a statutory offense
This planet's sun is a moon discussed
My faith is in the minstrel show
I am keeping my eyes focused
when you love me tomorrow

The Crazy Leprechaun

I met a crazy leprechaun
who didn't want his gold
He was puffing on a pipe
and said he was 400 years old

I don't believe in four leaf clovers
They bring me bad luck
And if I see any more of those lucky charms
I will pluck, pluck pluck!

I thought he was a madman
After hearing what he said
I asked him if leprechauns still gave wishes
That's when his face got red

I don't grant wishes anymore
So don't ask me none
But then he changed his mind
And said I could ask for one

I said I'd like to leave this place
And be richer than when I came
then...
...ZIPPPPP!
he was gone
Only his hat and the gold remained

 Forget It logo

Find Yourself logo
Update: The story behind the above is that in a dream, I saw this woman saying "Find yourself or forget it". She was kinda out of focus, like it would look if you were in between channels on tv. I'm not 100% sure what she was talking about but I assume she was talking about me, lol. I drew a crude sketch of a woman (I'm not that great at faces) and the words. I'm still working on the face and how I can use what she said in a design or something else.

Meanwhile, here are some other items from Spreadshirt Marketplace.
I have put some of my artwork on t-shirts and buttons there.

are you a bursting bubble or a bubble bursting?

this is the tale of two bubbles
the tale of two troubles

for we are all bubbles
thin skinned and fragile
some quick and agile
a short life span
a marvel of man

but

are you a bursting bubble?
you lived your life silently filled
with so much promise
but also sadness and disgust
at your slow rise to the top
and alone you will pop

or

are you a bubble bursting
with life, brilliant, thirsting
for resiliency, glistening in the sunlight?
everyone admires you, ignoring your plight
that you are a bubble and won’t last long
you are revered, you finish strong…

before you pop
at the top

this is the tale of two bubbles
their essence doubles

in the stratosphere
